Birdies4Bipolar is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is aimed at creating positive change all over the world. The intention for our organization is to instill hope and perseverance when fighting mental illness. Birdies4Bipolar works to impact lives, empower youth, improve quality of life and educate people of all ages.
This foundation raises funding for U.S. veterans to prepare, play and compete in the Missouri Amputee Golf Tournament. Golf is a tremendous form of recreational therapy that benefits both veterans and civilians. Golf instills honesty, integrity, patience, perseverance, poise, competitive spirit, strategy, work ethic and illustrates the importance of a positive attitude.
This foundation aids in creating awareness and erasing the false stigmas associated with all mental illness.
Birdies4Bipolar develops new programs and contributes funding to other organizational programs that focus on improving mental health by creating new awareness and educating about the true realities of mental illness.
Mental illness has become a global issue. Golf is a global game that teaches honesty and integrity. Birdies4Bipolar aims to be a global organization that reaches all corners of the world to develop honesty and integrity while promoting the science of well-being.
The three pillar mission of B4B:
Educate and assist individuals living with mental illness and their families to recognize the difference between truth and the false stigma’s surrounding all mental illness. These conditions include: Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Chronic Depression, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Eating Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Schizophrenia, Substance Abuse and Bipolar Disorder. Twenty-four percent of the population has been diagnosed with some form of mental illness.
Generate funds for United States military and amputee Veterans in the St. Louis and Southern Illinois region that are living with mental illness to participate in recreational therapy golf leagues and compete in bi-state golf competitions. Golf is a tremendous form of outdoor recreational therapy that helps to bridge social interaction among our nations Veterans.
Conduct and host mental health awareness golf fundraising events and stand-up comedy shows in different cities within the United States. Proceeds from these events are then funneled into local mental health organizations in these respective cities in order to promote the science of well-being.
